The Floating Classroom Program offers scholarships to economically disadvantaged groups. Scholarships are derived from gifts or grants, and are not expenditures of state money allocated to the Texas A&M University System. Distribution of scholarship funds is managed by an oversight committee which evaluates the needs and objectives of the group requesting the scholarship.
Scholarships are not intended to cover the full daily fee of $1,000 for group participation. Scholarships cover between 20% ($200) and 50% ($500). Financial assistance is determined by the needs of the group and the available funds. Every group is required to make the $300 enrollment deposit for each day the group will participate in the Floating Classroom Program.
